Digital Media & Game Development for 2006 P5 cohort    
  In response to the MOE’s new initiative to TEACH LESS AND LEARN MORE we strive to encourage a spirit of innovation and enterprise in our students. We want to expose our young to new experiences and Digital Media & Game Development (DMGD ) is a new experience in which your child’s in intellectual curiosity and passion for learning can be ignited. We know that children today are PC Game savvy and this programme will enable them to create their own PC games.    
       
  The aims of the programme are to :    
 
  1. expose students to the fast growing game development environment by giving them the basic skills and technical knowledge required in the development of a PC game.
  2. develop the spirit of creativity in them in relation to video game development.
  3. inculcate in the students the spirit of teamwork in a project-based learning environment
   
  At the end of the programme, students will be able to:    
 
  1. apply creativity and constructive imagination in the game conceptual process.
  2. understand the discipline and planning involved in the game development process.
  3. apply the techniques and skills taught to create a basic video game.
   
       
 

To inculcate in our students the spirit of teamwork in a project-based learning environment the Primary 5 cohort will be trained in Digital Media & Game Development (DMGD) during THURSDAY’S SUPPLEMENTARY LESSONS from 1.30- 3.00pm They will learn from the Specialist Teachers employed by Factor Learning Pte Ltd.
