BTPS is committed to develop the potential in every child.

Underlying all our efforts are these strong Fundamentals: Caring and Competent Staff who are committed to develop pupils with good Character anchored in sound Values and capable of delivering a Forward-looking Curriculum that prepares our pupils for a 21st Century workplace, with all these taking place in a Safe and Fun Learning environment.

To be such an institution of learning requires the involvement of everyone who has a stake in the future of our children. Parents can be partners with us in educating every BTPS pupil for life by:

• * Sharing a common vision to " fuel the hearts and minds to be future-ready " and
• * Inculcating a common set of core values, namely, Graciousness, Respect, Resilience, Adaptability, Compassion, Integrity " in our children.

The success of each child matters to us as much as it is to his/her parents. Just as every drop makes an ocean, we also recognize that the road to success is taken one step at a time, including tumbles and falls.

As partners in education, we have to keep finding ways to turn failures and mistakes into positive experiences that help shape the child's character and add to his learning. In that way, the child learns about Resilience and Adaptability.

By showing them grace when they make mistakes, we teach them the value of Graciousness and Compassion.

By no means should we shield them from the consequences of their mistakes. Instead, these become teachable moments for them to be responsible for their actions, and in the process, they learn Integrity and Respect.

Going back to the school's commitment to develop the potential in every child: I believe that just as it takes 2 hands to clap, School and Home need to work hand in hand ( pun intended) to make it happen.

Together, we can expose our children to the beauty as well as harsh realities of the world they live in so that they can choose wisely what they want to be in life and where they want to venture.

We cannot prevent all unpleasant things but we can teach them how to best deal with challenges in life and come out stronger, wiser and more empowered to lead fulfilling lives for themselves and others.
