Principal's Message

I share with you a quote from Mohandas Gandhi who lived from 1869 to 1948. He was a political and spiritual leader from India who gave us an insight into the impressive power of nonviolence.

Gandhi said:

"Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large."

What it means is that there have beed moments in our life where we have reached out to help someone, whether it was helping mummy clear the table after dinner, hold the door open so that another person can get through safely and easily, picked up a piece of litter from the canteen floor or even as simple as giving a cheerfull smile to another.

Such acts come naturally to many of us. They don't cost much but they go along way in bringing happiness to others. So, let's challenge ourselves! Let's deliberately think of at least one good thing to do for others everyday. It could be a simple thing as giving your seat on the bus to someone who needs it more or exercise great patience when you find yourself in a long queue.

I strongly believe that when we put others before ourselves, someone else will put us before them. It's like passing kindness and consideration around; we can't help but win.
