This is the second year Bukit Timah Primary School embarks on its Programme for Active Learning (PAL) journey for all Primary 1 and 2 pupils.

Our vision for PAL@BTPS - Holistic Experience, Diverse Learning

Our mission for PAL@BTPS - Giving pupils holistic and diverse learning experiences through Appreciation, Creation and Expression (ACE) 

Our ACE approach in PAL will equip pupils with the ability to appreciate art, confidence to be expressive and creative in solving problems. PAL will be able to Enthuse, Engage and Empower pupils in a Learning Community that inculcates sound values and equips them to be world-ready citizens, which is in-line with our school’s mission.

The modular activities offered by Bukit Timah Primary School in the area of Performing Arts and Visual Arts include ethnic dance and various art forms. In the area of Outdoor Education and Sports, the modules offered include exploration and creative movements.

PAL modules are experiential in nature and incorporate learning in a creative, fun, and enjoyable way. Through PAL, pupils are actively engaged and provided with maximum opportunities for them to learn through exploration.

Since the implementation of PAL, pupils are becoming more confident and vocal in class, exhibiting more leadership qualities and develop desirable character traits such as showing empathy and being more mindful of the needs of their peers..
